On the hottest day of the year so far, 3-Space finally returned to Royal Ascot. It was a long-awaited outing after a delay of a couple of years due to you-know-what and we certainly celebrated the day in style.

We were greeted with lashings of Pimm’s and champagne and, of course, the blazing sunshine. The ladies wore their finest summer dresses and fascinators, whilst the men looked dashing in their suits. Extra credit must be given to Niall for his bespoke headwear.

Before the racing started, we were treated to lunch in the marquee with the most amazing array of desserts to follow and then it was up to the racecourse to wave hello to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the rest of the royal procession.

With jackets and ties finally discarded and high heel shoes abandoned, the racing started. It is safe to say that no-one went home with enough winnings to clear their mortgage but no-one went home crying either! Races came and went; afternoon tea was thoroughly enjoyed, and the drinks kept coming.

It was a fantastic day out after a couple of years of delays and a perfect way to celebrate our successes as a team.
